YAODS presents its 2012 play... Nunsense, directed by Paul Chewins.

Nunsense runs from 10th – 13th October 2012. It introduces the audience to the fictional Little Sisters of Hoboken who are putting on a show to raise money to bury sisters accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child... of God). Fifty died, but four have not yet been interred and are languishing in the freezer until some cash is raised to bury them. The benefit takes place on the stage of Mount Saint Helen’s School 8th grade production of Grease. Before the performance and during the interval, the sisters wander through the auditorium, talking to the audience. It’s their school, so they’re very much at home and throughout the sisters chat to the audience and each other in a very relaxed, natural way.

which has pledged to close down clubs like these... So - an elaborate hoax is cooked up to dispel any concerns when the two sets of parents meet.
In the best tradition of farce, it all goes hilariously wrong. Along the way there are tears, love and laughs aplenty, all ‘glammed’ up with some of Broadway’s best-loved songs: I Am What I Am, The Best of Times and the title number, La Cage aux Folles.
